Digital Art Illustration By Marek Okoń

Marek Okoń is a Tokyo based graphic designer working for Wieden+Kennedy Tokyo. Marek was born in Krakow, Poland, but grew up and studied design production at the school design, and design theory at YSDN, in Toronto, Canada. This polis artist began working as a professional graphic designer in 2003 and became interested in digital painting in 2005. Marek specializes in art direction and graphic design with a focus on motion graphics, digital, and print design. His other interests include digital illustration and photography. During his time with W+K Tokyo, he has collaborated with clients such as Honda, Nike Japan, Google Japan, MTV Japan, and Playstation Japan. Marek Okoń provided artwork for the Star Wars Galaxies Trading Card Game expansions Agents of Deception and The Nightsister's Revenge. He has also provided artwork for the forthcoming MMORPG Star Wars: The Old Republic. He is author of the cover art for Paul S. Kemp's novel Deceived. He creates each of his digital paintings as if they were a scene in a movie, capturing the most climactic moment of the story. Today he describes himself as an illustrator, concept artists and matte painter.
