First off, a majority of the event takes place in the upper expo hall of the Colorado Convention Center, and it’s certainly spacious enough, with plenty of room for a food court and aisles full of sellers with comic books, posters, t-shirts and other nerd goods to spare. Also you can walk away with some Ninja Turtles action figures and a Goonies film poster. It also has a Star Wall aligned on the back, where various movie and comic book celebrities were waiting to get pictures and sign autographs for a small fee.
Celebrities in attendance included Kristin Bauer from True Blood, Cindy Morgan and Bruce Boxleitner from the Tron universe, Billy West from Ren and Stimpy, Futurama fame and Colin Ferguson from Eureka, among others. Though some stars like Wil Wheaton and Lauren Cohan from The Walking Dead were forced to cancel due to scheduling conflicts, there were still more than enough famous faces making the rounds, and happy to see everyone.
Furthermore, Denver Comic Con brought out a bunch of cosplayers, from those who dressed up like their favorite comic book heroes to Star Wars geeks of all ages. Overall, the Denver Comic Con has been a blast. It may be a smaller show, but it’s certainly a lot of fun.
