Edible Glass

When you finish your drink, you can eat the glass.
Sugar glass (also called candy glass, edible glass, and breakaway glass) is a brittle transparent form sugar. It is prepared by heating sugar to at least the "hard crack" stage in the candy making process. Water is sometimes used in preparation, but it boils f in the finished product. Corn syrup is sometimes used to prevent the sugar from recrystallizing. Sugar glass is used in stunt sequences television and film in the place real glass, as it breaks more easily and is less dangerous than real glass. Sugar glass is also used in sugar sculpture. Because sugar glass is hygroscopic, it must be used soon after preparation, or it will sten, and lose its brittle quality.
