Bird's Eye View Of Great Britain At Night By Jason Hawkes

Aerial photographer Jason Hawkes has captured British cities at night from a helicopter. From the bustling heart of the capital to the industrial landscapes of northern towns like Manchester and Glasgow, Britain from 1,000 feet up is a sight to behold.
"I love shooting at night," said Jason. "Cities just spring to life after dusk from the air, and often even very mundane places take on a real surreal look. In the last ten or so years lighting technology has really moved on. Cities just seem more cinematic and alive with energy.
Jason has specialized in aerial photography since 1991, is based just outside London in the UK, and works worldwide. His clients include brands such as Nike, Coca Cola, Nokia, HSBC, NatWest, Ford, American Airlines, Rolex, Toyota, Smirnoff, Mitsubishi and BP. He has produced over 40 aerial photographic books for publishers such as the BBC, Random House and Harper Collins. Hawkes has a very extensive stock archive site. You can search, license and download to your desktop over 100,000 RM images. Jason loves all things Apple, Nikon, Adobe.
