Around 49,000 homes and businesses lost power during the storm, with nearly 40,000 of those in the Laurentides region of the province, as well as more than 4,000 customers in the Eastern Townships and 1,700 customers in Montreal. Dozens of flights had been cancelled at Montreal-Pierre Elliott Trudeau International Airport.
