Street Art Graffiti By Owen Dippie

Owen Dippie was born in Kawerau, New Zealand, and at age 28 his work can be seen across the five boroughs of New York City and the Lower East Side. Owen Dippie is a rare artistic talent. He is well known nationally and internationally as a street artist. On the 10th of September 2010 Owen opened his Ashworth Lane Studio and Gallery in Mount Maunganui to the public for the first time. As well as making a success of his new gallery Owen would like to return to New York to continue with the street art he has already done.
Most people are familiar with Owen's prodigious street art especially the 'Respect for The Dead' series. Two highly visible grisaille works depicting Elvis Presley and Michael Jackson from this series adorn the walls of a building on Tauranga's 15th Avenue. He also painted the huge ,much loved, Goldie painting on a wall adjoining Masonic Park in downtown Tauranga. Owen also paints very accomplished works with the brush.
