The Safari Park (formerly Rancagua Zoo) is a zoo located in the town of Rancagua, Doñihue way, Chile. It started as an initiative of known TV host Ivan Arenas, aka Professor Rossa, who wanted to build an enclosure like this in his hometown. Despite being the project developer, Arenas is not the zoo owner - it belongs to Ivan Sanchez Lobos.
It is the first Safari Park in Chile, divided into two areas, one with ruminates animals besides other herbivorous species to which one can touch and feed entering a field of more than 1 hectare. There can be seen lions in the wild, which can be observed by a minibus to analyse the lifestyle of these animals in herds, how they feed and reproduce. Furthermore, this zoo has various sports and recreational activities as their climbing wall, zip line, ATV's, pony rides and a café.
