• Miss Colombia 2013
Vega competed in Miss Colombia 2013, representing the Atlántico Department, where she won the title of Miss Colombia, gaining the right to represent the country at Miss Universe 2014. Miss Colombia won the 2014 Miss Universe title in Doral, Miami. Paulina, the winner of the pageant, gets to wear the new crown made by Diamonds International Corporation, a Czech based jeweller, the newest official jewelry maker of Miss Universe.
• Miss Universe 2014
Paulina represented Colombia at Miss Universe 2014 competing to succeed Gabriela Isler of Venezuela on January 25th, 2015. Out of a field of 88 entrants, she won the title of Miss Universe 2014. She is the second woman from Colombia to win Miss Universe after Luz Marina Zuluaga in 1958, which created the longest gap when crowning again in Miss Universe history.
