The Spicebush Swallowtail (Papilio troilus) is a fairly black swallowtail butterfly found in North America. It is the state butterfly of Mississippi. Adults can be identified by their spoon-shaped tails and by their bright green (male) or iridescent blue (female) hind-wings.
